APICS Principles of Operations Management is an education-based program made up of five courses designed to help new entrants to the field of operations management establish the foundational knowledge necessary to excel in the fields of production and distribution management. Principles of Inventory Management


The goal of this course is to impart an operational knowledge and understanding of inventory management principles and techniques, providing participants with a greater understanding of their roles and responsibilities in the control of inventory and the impact that inventory has on a business. Principles of Manufacturing Management


The goal of this course is to provide an introduction to the concepts and practices of modern manufacturing management. Among the topics discussed are managing the manufacturing environment, process layout, bills of material (BOMs) and routings, executing manufacturing planning and control activities, working with material requirements planning (MRP) and more.
