How do you maintain your APICS certification?
The APICS Certificate Maintenance is designed to guarantee your certification validity and value. You should show your continuous development and elaboration in the field of operations management by collecting professional development points. Most activities in the field of operations management will bring you points.
In order to maintain your CPIM, CSCP or CLTD certification you should earn 75 professional development points.
The APICS CPIM Certification Maintenance Bulletin 2018 will inform you in details for all activities that would bring you points.
Certification Maintenance Requirements:
CPIM
• Must earn a total of 75 professional development points every five years
• If you do not maintain your certification within five years, your certification will be placed in suspended status. You will be unable to refer to yourself as a CPIM until your certification is placed back in good standing
• With each additional year your certification is suspended, you are required to submit 15 additional professional development points to reinstate your certification
• If you do not maintain certification within five years of suspension, your certification will expire, and you will be required to retake your exams. You will be unable to refer to yourself as a CPIM until your certification is placed back in good standing
CSCP
• Must earn a total of 75 professional development points every five years
• If you do not maintain your certification within five years, your certification will be placed in suspended status. You will be unable to refer to yourself as a CSCP until your certification is placed back in good standing
